Booty Lounge Torrents Site - Initial Info

It is nice to see that there is a torrent site in the works but this creates an over abunance of curiosity.
I was not aware of Apollo or Joe being web designers so who is developing it?
Lets face it, with the amount of data that will be transferred this venture will become expensive. How is it being funded?

Are we going to implement methods of limiting serial leeching before it becomes a major issue?

Will there be uploader try-outs or can one simply request to be an uploader?

Is there a projected "ready" date for the torrent site?

Can donations be made for the initial costs of the Server (please tell me that it wont be windows based), the tools necessary to build the site and hosting?

I understand that this is a new development and it is still in it's infancy. I ask these questions only because I have a great deal of interest in this site and I would like to see it prosper. If my questions do not yet have solid answers, that's fine, I am sure that will change with time. Any information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated because as an interested member I would really like being in the know.

I am very excited to see where this all goes, all hail Booty Lounge!

This project is a cooperative amongst the staff.

MorpheusX51 has been generous enough to lend us his skills in the forum design.

Daflames will also be assisting in this capacity.

Because this site is being put TOGETHER by more than one of us, we will be pulling our resources together.

Additionally, we hope that donations are in the minds of the community.

Because each person on the staff has a different set of IT skills, it's proving to be a very effective to delegate different assignments to the proper specialists.

As you can see the site is coming along nicely.

In closing, I would like to add that registrations are closed on the main site until we fully integrate a rules, FAQ and links section.

Alot of people doubted the 51 crew, and labeled us misfits and even dared to give us the title "Click".

We were never any sort of high society members who created a group just to have a secret society.

In creating the 51 crew, the roots and foundations stemmed from The love of the community persay, and making the site prosperous and fruitful, plus encouraging conversation and free speech in the process.

As for the web developing aspect; we are just simple dedicated individuals who saw a chance to start our own venture.

The 51 staff consisted of dedicated individuals who specified in various skills ranging but not limited to, Ideas,web development,software specialization and intellectual thinking.

So we were simply a "Think Tank" of people from different fields.

The torrent site is near perfection, just maybe 2-3 days before completion.

As for as donations go, this will be definitely be welcomed.

PayPal will be integrated into the site, so if you choose to donate, it will show how much is donated.

Hopefully this answered the majority of your questions.

If more answers is needed, just ask more questions, and I'll gladly anser them.

It was my sort of a nostalgic nod to the Golden Age of Porn, but updated with chicks from today's flicks.

It's odd that peeps felt that way. If you only know how little we talked like taht. Everything we did we did with teh hopes it would better the site, adn give more to the ones who we felt and still feel are the most important, The community by which I mean you guys. Hence the phat drops, and changes in the forums. Here we're able to do this freely without checking with someone else. Allow me to clarify (though this is about the past and we won't dwell on it much).

As an Area51er I can tell you the basic gist of what we were about.
In essence, we were the senior members and heavy contributors to the site who's input and assistance Apollo saw fit to recruit.
We served at the pleasure of Apollo and our only purpose was to serve the BT community and figure out ways to improve it.

So short of making us all Mods, Apollo recognized and honored members who made long term contributions and proven their commitment to the community without any reward by setting up a Justice League kind of thing comprised of super members dedicated to making the community a better place.

Basically, only supervillians (salty haters and jealous assholes who only lived to stir up trouble) complained because they wanted the place to have no guidance, no supervision and no active force for good.
Every well run place has management and trustees. It's easy to scream "elitist" if you're not part of that team.

Now as far as HeMustBe, from the very beginning, I told Apollo that i felt his temperment, personality and character was very salty, argumentative and cynical.
Sort of a Parkside light with a dash little Shin Akuma sprinkled in.
In the end, he was never a major contributor to Area51 and besides the 1 post we did collectively, the main thing he ever contributed was conflict and arguments against everything. There are always those that want the darkness.

I had a similar impression of you, Jcrack. In fact, I put you on the Do Not Invite list, as your character in the BT forums has often been argumentative, cynical and confrontational, choosing to phrase your words in personally directed and offensive ways. Your focus and choice of words throughout these posts confirms my previous assessment.
How you slipped in the gate, I don't know and personally, I'm predisposed to tossing you out so you can go back to sprinkling salt and vinegar on otherwise happy threads at BT. But as a science experiment, I'll leave you - and you alone- in the mix to see what happens. For now.

You'll either adapt to this lighter, more positive and friendly environment or you'll try to turn it into another piss pot. I'm curious as to which will happen - assuming you stay at all.
I'm open minded enough to believe that people can change. And you weren't the worst offender at BT. But you were a salty muthafucka when you wanted to be, and you wanted to be far too often.

For the record, behavior that brings down the quality of life for the general membership here is the only criteria needed in order to get modded or get the boot.

But in any large online forum communities, there are always going to be a very small number of bad apples, salty people who just seem to always have something negative to say about everything and everyone.

They come into lively, fun posts and somehow always almost magically seem to say just the right thing to kill the mood with their saltiniess and conflict. And they often seem to pick fights or insult their fellow members with how they phrase their opinions and how they address their fellow members.

He has a long and colorfully bad track record at BT and as soon as he started up that shit here, we nipped it in the bud. That's why he was banned.

99% of all members are reasonable, good natured people. Sure, there will be disgareements and there will be difference of opinion but they will only be Modded if they get out of control and start getting nasty towards their fellow members.

However, if it becomes clear that the NATURE of a member is that of an angry, disruptive, conflict seeking individual, then it's likely he will be banned.

Damn I didn't know anything about that either. I stop goin to bt for 2 months and I miss all this? I knew it was goin down hill because of certain members who stole the fun out it and ruined it for me and many others. Thats why I lost intrest. It used to be so much fun coming home after a hard day to read the comments under my torrents but that faded when I couldn't even be myself anymore.
