South Park isn't "celebrating" Obama. They were lampooning his voters for believing in Hope and Change because they are a pair of rich, cynical conservative cockgobblers.
The creators and voices of most of the South Park characters are Conservatives. Trey Stone is a registered Republican and Matt Parker is a conservative Libertarian (like Barry Goldwater, the founder of the Conservative movement).
They make fun of some conservatives on South Park if they are really egregious like George W. Bush, but if you notice they REALLY go after Liberals in their show and movies, especially Team America World Police.
Matt Stone was quoted as saying, "I hate conservatives, but I really fucking hate liberals." They bash all Hollywood liberals, regardless if they are doing good work or bringing light to important social issues.
They hate Sean Penn, Matt Damon, Ben Afleck, etc.
George Clooney did the show a few years ago, but that was before he realized what kind of a conservative trip they were on.
They turned on him 2 years ago and ripped on his Oscar acceptance speech. Why?
Because George Clooney is an advocate for environmental causes and against the genocide in Darfur, which means he's a Liberal, so they bashed him.
That why I don't watch South Park and never liked it. I've found a few episodes okay, but it never really hooked me.
Then once I saw them start bashing celebrities who I knew for a fact were fighting for good causes (like Rob Reiner's anti-smoking in movies campaign, etc) it left me scratching my head as to what these two fucknuts were doing.
Why are they attacking worthy causes?
That's when I thought that they were just cynical about everything and anyone and just had a need to destroy and ridicule everything and everyone. Anyone who takes themselves or a cause seriously was a target for them, but especially if they are Liberals.
Fuck them and their show.:rant:

i dont believe they are mocking the causes that these people are supporting...its more of the way that these "stars",who i consider nothing but glorified, well paid circus clowns, turn these issues into their pet projects.and then the causes themselves are trivialized into t-shirts.
hollywood is nothing but a nest of hypocritical, pretentious, egos looking to portray marketable images.
take rob riener for instance...that fat slob would be LUCKY to live long enough to die of smoking related illness...why isnt he talking about obesity, wich is something that affects 60-70% of the population, rather than smoking wich affects 20-30% of it.
besides that, how the hell could an anti-smoking campaign from hollywood be taken seriously when its only been recently that they've begun to promote how much fun it is to smoke weed...typical hollywood, cigarettes are bad but weed is good.
i think they should turn more attention to producing entertaining movies and leave the political shit to their congressmen.
the show never interested me specifically because i figured it was nothing but more of hollywoods pet social project bullshit...but maybe ill check it out.
the only episode i ever saw had to do with the internet going out,and the resulting panic that ensued as everyone realized how dependent they had become on it.
anyone making fun of ben affleck and rob riener cant be that bad.

i agree with what morpheusx said. they even jabbed at angelina jolie's coochie. for what? it didn't even make since. they jabbed at oprah, jessie jackson, isaac hayes. the only black character now is called "token". truthfully, i find some of their stuff funny but they keep bringing me back to why i can't support or respect them at least twice a season.

matt stone and tre parker are assholes.....and they make their bread off of that, if they didn't make fun of Hollywood, the show wouldn't be that funny and also making fun of republicans are an easy target, so there's no fun in that, liberals on the other hand is unchartered territory.I think a lot of those liberals need to blasted........
