A friend recommended the new "V" TV series to me, and despite my doubts, I watched it and was thoroughly impressed by the treatment they gave the new version.
The same friend also recommended "The United States of Tara" on Showtime as well, so I might check that out.

A few notes on my dislikes:

• I think 2 and a half men is utterly retarded garbage.

• I think watching any of Tyler Perry's coon/minstrel sitcoms permanently lowers your IQ and ruins your credit score. Plus it gives you AIDS...

• I find Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice thoroughly uninteresting.

• I never got bitten by the "24" bug, so unless you swear on a stack of porn DVDs that it's really, really, really fucking good, I'm not going to bother trying to get into it.

• I've never watched even a single episode of any of those crime procedural acronym shows (NCIS/CSI/CSI: Miami/CSI: Vice City or whatever)

• I hate the Cleveland Show, find the Simpsons unappealing and American Dad doesn't do it for me.

Now that you've gotten a feel for my tastes, more a less, could you recommend anything new that you think I would like that's worth viewing?

Damn, and I thought I watched too much TV, hehe. Only shows I watch right now are The First 48, Steven Seagal Lawman, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Dirty Jobs, and when the new season starts South Park. Most of the time, though, I watch anime online over at http://www.animecrazy.net/ specifically right now Inuyasha: The Final Act. I used to watch House but stopped watching it last season.

im not a huge tv guy

when i got back here i was stuck in a bed for some time and did exactly what your doing...asked what was good.

got tons of conflicting opinions...tried watching what turned out to be tons of shit...and basically thres nothing that i can rave about.

i also watch how i met your mom...doogie houser amuses me.

2.5 men got real tedious...real quick.

and for some inexplicable reason...i watch the geek show thats on after 2.5 men.

i enjoy the experiments on mythbusters.

and i also think that alec baldwins character on 30 rock is the funniest thing on tv.

other then those...i park it on the history or discovery channel for back ground noise

i honestly went into this thing thinking ....ill find a bunch of shows and follow them.

unfortunately the quality entertainment just isnt there

when i was a kid we had a black and white tv...and there was tons of shit on i liked.

it seems as if the programming has declined in an inversely proportional manner to the advancement of the television.

either that...or i was just a lot easier to please 30 years ago

i hope you have better luck then me

I don't even watch tv anymore other than news and sports. Since the Eagles lost to the Cowboys, it's just news now.

I mostly watch Hulu.

Arrested Development. I loved that show and back then and still do now.

Flash Forward. - You already watch it so not much you wouldn't already know

V - Only four eps have aired. Ok so far, but I need to see more.

Lost - Got into it on Hulu and each ep is addictive.

24 - First season was the best, then it seems they over dramatized and cliched the shit out of it to keep up ratings. I still watch, but it could be better.

Anime - Not sure if you care for it. If you do I'll divulge.

I really miss the Shield though. Once that ended I said screw tv. Wasn't much left to watch.

For me it is:

Big Bang Theory
The Wire (greatest show on television)
Hung
True Blood
as the writers seem to enjoy finding new and ever more inventive ways to fuck him in thhe ass I no longer watch House
Burn Notice
Old Episodes of shows on TechTV while I sob softly, curled up in a corner in the fetal position, thinking about what it has become.

Also could someone please help me with a US proxy so that I may watch Hulu? It is not available in Jamaica.

^aww damn, Just reminded me that I love the Boondocks and a few other Adult Swim shows.

I'll look into that proxy. In fact, I could of sworn someone just put something up on this board recently.

Well fuck you with a big stick sniff....:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

continuing

The Boondocks greatest western animation yet, so much detail and commentary its no wonder they take so damn long to make
Berserk
The New Fullmetal Alchemist

Unfortunately four years ago all our cable providers were forced to remove the english language cartoon network and switch to a Latin American feed. We have not seen Adult Swim in four years. We are now the seciond season of naruto.

Please speak to your local congressman about this international atrocity.

I always thought TV pretty much sucked, still do.

As I said before:
-Dirty Jobs
-The Wire (It was a good show)
-The Boondocks (I find alot of black people dont like the show maybe because its talking about them)
-The Simpsons, the show is dying, these new writers they have aren't making good new episodes, just ripping ideas from the headlines like everyone else.
-Family Guy
-Top Gear (the UK versions not the 45 min American ones)
Special Ops Mission, Its a Military Channel show only has 6 episodes it was a good show.
-Star Trek TNG, YEA I SAID IT...

Morp, I cant believe you watch all of that crap on TV. I mean a man like you. Its like walking in on Jesus masturbating or something. I'd thought you'd be a person to read a book over that crap.

I find most network TV to be boring and predictable, like everything Morp likes, and not funny.

Sleepy, you had my vote until I saw Big Bang Theory, they play a laugh track every 6 seconds, and the shits not even funny my dude.

BTW if someone says CSI I will come to your house and smack you clear across the face.

Oh BTW Sleepy Animefreak.tv, for your anime needs, even though Im not a fan Naruto..., and Full Metal, and Beserk... all there and streamable, in english sub or dub. I suggest Black Lagoon, of Ghost in The Shell.

Big Bang is good BECAUSE ITS FOR SCIENCE!!!!!!

GITS , however is truly a testament to the artistic vision of man. And while Berserk may seem to abe an only above average anime, the manga has some of the greatest artwork on paper. or computer monitor. The plot, themes and characterization are written in a way that is rarely seen in any literary form, print or otherwise.

For Morpheus to be able to watch that much TV, porn write various page long treatises on this forum AND be a life coach, he would have to be a sentient, artificial intelligent program, so I wouldn;t worry about his viewing choices that much.

actually if he doesn't work long hours and have a steady girlfriend it would be normal provided he gets his shows from the internet. i assume he doesn't just sit there waiting for those shows to come on. thus, just dling a season at one time and doing a marathon while on your pc on off time wouldn't be that unusual.

Reg TV.

Heroes
Family Feud (all hosts)
The Wire (seen them all. awesome fucking show)
Battlestar Galactica - currently on season 4 of the newer stuff. They did a damn fine job
The Office - when I have the time
True Blood
Stargate Universe
Ninja Warrior (whenever I feel like it, and it's on On Demand)
ATHF - If you don't know, you betta ask somebody!
MST3K - see above message

Anime

Staying current on Bleach. Pretty decent filler
Naruto Shippudden (sp?) - solid saga, RIP Ero Sennin!
GiTS - Stand Alone Complex, all seasons+OVA
Flag
And cuz it's football season, I love to check out Eyeshield 21!

There's other stuff, but that's what comes to mind immediately.

Oh, and you'd be surprised how much tv time you get in, especially if you have a significant other who watches the kind of stuff you do. me and the wifey blew through The Wire like it was nothing. straight up lazy Sundays vegged the fuck out laughing at our boy Omar. Indeed.

Bingo. I don't actually sit down to watch TV live anymore, except for news & political shows.
No time and it's a brain drain. I mostly surf the web for news, entertainment, etc. I work long hours on projects, so in my down time, when it's cold outside/I'm broke/lazy/boreed, I'll d/l an entire season or several episodes and do a marathon at night or on weekends. Especially boring ass Sundays.

Right now I'm working my way through season 1 of House, M.D.

If you have Netflix, this show I recommend:

Brotherhood
Set in an Irish-American town called "The Hill" in Providence, Rhode Island, Brotherhood follows the lives of the Caffee brothers. One brother is a gangster, the other a politician, the Caffee brothers are living their lives on opposite ends of the law, with both having their own twisted view on what the American dream means.

http://www.webbypyx.com/images/93clk6upgmpk071qyzu.jpg (http://www.webbypyx.com/)

The show is like an Irish version of the Sopranos. Very good writing, very good dialogue, good action etc. etc.

I got hooked pretty quick too. I marathoned throught it in about 3 weeks. There are a total of 3 seasons out thus far.

If you have Netflix, you can stream it through your computer or Xbox 360.

If you notice, the guy way on the right was Johnny Depp's supporting actor in "Public Enemies".

Brotherhood just never appealed to me, but then I wasn't a super super huge Sopranos fan, either. I liked it for the first season or two, but then I lost the taste for it.

I loved Deadwood, but then they canceled that as well.

Never liked Dexter or Californication.

Showtime always prematurely cancels all the shows I like: Stargate SG-1, Odyssey 5, Dead Like Me, Huff, etc. and replace them with gay ass shows like Queer as folk, The L Word, The Tudors, etc.

Indeed. But they had good shows from when the Internet and cell phones were young, such as Linc's Rude Awakening and Hoop Life. Never mind where Barbershop went.

the lack of anything good on tv is the reason why i'm on the xbox so much. for the most part its family guy and old reruns. other than that its discovery channel and nat geo. i love that show "Locked Up Abroad", of course "MythBusters", and when i get high enough "How Its Made" is pretty good.

oh and i can't forget about "Dexter". can't wait for the next season, cuz the way the last one ended kinda fukd me up.

Decent? Good God Man!!! It had Pam Grier!!! Not the L Word Pam Grier, or the 70's Pam Grier, but the BEST Pam Grier the Jackie Brown Pam Grier!!! That was enough to make me have to check my self into MILFlovers Anonymous.
